In this workshop, you'll learn all the basics of Risograph printing while designing your own postcard.
You will be guided through the fundamentals of Risograph printing. Learning the machine's basic mechanics and layering techniques to creating stunning prints.
Everyone will make an 8.5x5.5" postcard print using the materials available (you're also welcome to bring stuff from home). As a group we will decide on 2 of the available colours for your prints, we will print everyone's card on one page and then cut them down to size. You'll walk away with 20 copies of your unique print to do with as you please, but in the spirit of Riso I recommend making something that you want to share!

In this hands-on class, you'll learn all the ins and outs of the Risograph machine while designing and printing your very own poster.
You will be guided through the fundamentals of Risograph printing. From understanding the machine's mechanics to mastering layering techniques, you'll gain valuable insights into the art of creating stunning prints.
Then, you'll put your newfound knowledge into practice as you design and print your personalized poster. Mix and match any 2 of the available colours to bring your vision to life. Experiment with colours, textures, and patterns. You'll walk away with 20 copies of your unique poster to do with as you please, but in the spirit of Riso I recommend making something that you want to share!
Perfect for (but not limited to) those who are interested in working with Riso and incorporating it into their practice!
ZINE MAKING
3ish hour session to learn, create, print and fold
$70 per person
Limited to 4 people
Calling all zine lovers and creative enthusiasts! Join me for a hands-on experience where you'll create your own 8-page folded zine from start to finish. Whether you're a seasoned zine maker or a complete beginner, this workshop is designed to accommodate all skill levels.
During the workshop, we'll explore the fundamentals of zine construction, including layout and content creation. You'll be free to express your creativity and make a zine on any topic that inspires you.
Once your zine is complete, we'll take it a step further by printing 20 copies on the Riso. You'll choose any 2 of the available colours, scanning your masters and swapping out the colour drums. After printing it's time to assemble. You'll be given a step-by-step guide on how to properly cut and fold your zines. And in the spirit of zine culture, I always like to recommend a zine swap at the end of the workshop!
